At just 21 years old, South-East London artist Tilda Maplestone is creating music with a rare sense of permanence. Rooted in soul and jazz, her songs are raw and honest, conceived not to follow trends but to capture real moments and emotions through timeless songwriting.

Though self-producing, writing her own music and creating her own artwork, her artistry isn't divided into separate disciplines, but rather it exists as one complete creative vision. Every visual, lyric and production choice reflects the same intention, which is to create work that feels authentic and stands the test of time.

With her debut release ‘What's A Girl To Do’, set to be released across DSPs in the coming months, rather than following the traditional route of releasing straight to streaming Tilda has chosen to introduce the song with a limited run of vinyl records, a statement that reflects both the way she consumes music and the artist she wants to be.

Tilda recently made her live debut with her band at The George Tavern, London. The performance left a lasting impression with audience members, who variously described her voice as "timeless, so honest, so delicate, yet powerful enough to hold an entire room in complete silence," and "the way Tilda and the band move, breathe, and play together feels so completely in sync that you forget everything else happening around you ". It was a fitting introduction to Tilda as a live artist, with more shows set to be announced very soon.
